Well...I still consider myself new to this...but it all sounds very much like my son Tyler.
He's had 2 recurrences, both were resectable.
The surgeon gave us an analogy for this cancer....We will continue to "take the weeds out of the garden as they come up"-- they're easy to take out when they are small. And I ended the analogy with...and if we can't cut it out...we will then have to choose the poison.
Tyler is on 3month scans. His first recurrence was 9months and then again 3months...After every surgery...they say he's cancer free. The only time he ever feels sick is when he's in the hospital.
