Greetings,
I know this forum is for fibrollamellar carcinoma. However, i just wanted to jump in and maybe find a little connection. I was diagnosed with HCC 2 years ago. Docs all thought it was fibrollamellar as I had no risk factors for HCC. No hep, no cirrhosis, no nothing. I was never ill and found the tumor in a self exam. Looking back on it, I did notice little subtle symptoms such as vague stomach ache and bowel changes. anyway, I saw my doc and went to the er for a sono. they found a grapefruit size tumor hanging off of the left lobe. it was encapsulated and operable. I was blessed. I had a resection in Colorado with a great transplant team. the tumor was stage 1 with no lymph node involvement. i go every 6 mos for scans and I am doing well. I searched so long for other survivors of HCC but as you may know there are not many as this disease is usually far advanced at diagnosis. I hope everyone touched by any cancer gains the strength and wisdom that this often brings. I always tell my friends to listen to the body and be your own patient advocate. After my healing I went to a clinic in Mexico for 3 weeks to detox the bod and have a vaccine made. please take care and if I can be of any help, just yell.
