Hi Susie, My daughter was on Nexavar full strength for the month of September, 2007. She had absolutely no side effects. She started accumulating ascites and the CT scan showed the cancer had progressed significantly while on Nexavar. That's when our oncologist started the avastin, oxsalipltin and gemzar combination which kept the cancer in check through March 2008 when she developed an infection in the peritoneum. She's been on a down hill battle since. She is currently in the hospital with an ulcerated esophegus. The cancer had already spread to several organs when she was diagnosed in July 2007. I'm not sure if Ben had as much metastasis as my daughter. I'm ecstatic it's working for Ben and wish him continued success. I really don't think at this point they can try any new chemo for her, she is weak and has lost so much weight. I will definitely look at Hedva's entry. I am so grateful for this website. It has been so helpful to us. Theresa
