First, I am so sorry to hear of your daughter's diagnosis. We have been there.

Regarding your question, the state of the art chemoptherapy regimen for FHC has been, for about 5 years, cisplatin, doxorubicin, and 5FU; there was a study done in 2003 that appears to confirm some benefit. My daughter had two rounds several years ago (within a few days of her diagnosis); it was tough, very toxic, and many side effects. It shrunk her tumors slightly. Your oncologists recommend recipe is likely very similar. You might consider focusing more on the anti-angiogenesis drugs, such as Nexivar, as your daughter should be able to tolerate those much better.
