Georgene, Thank you for the response. I read this forum back in June when Nikki had her surgery but just now found the time to actually post her story. Marc's story hit very close to home because he was the same age. The part I find hardest at this time is that we are not given a true prognosis. Yes, there are websites that say 65% survival for 5 years, but what exactly does that mean. Although Nikki's tumour on the liver was resected, some of the lymph nodes were not, and they say the ones in her chest are enlarged. No biopsy on those yet, but is it really necessary? Can we assume that they are FHC? With it still in lymph nodes, what are her chances now? Does anyone know? All I know, is as a mother this is very difficult to take. I try to stay strong for her but sometimes it is hard not to get upset when she is too sick to eat but she is withering away from the lack of nutrition. Anyway, now I am rambling. Thanks for sharing.
