Hi Jodi, First of all, what a nice article with you in the newspaper. Thank you for bringing this to more people's attention. Amy had the test for mono in September 2007, tested positive and then started becoming ill in Dec. 2007. Two different doctors misdiagnosed her for IBS for several months before we insisted to test further. The following June, 2008, they found the tumor and diagnosed her with FHC. We believe she may have had the beginnings of FHC prior to the mono and that's why she had such a severe case of it.
