Hi Kirsty,
Sorry to hear that the tumour has spread to the bowel. I have not heard of that happening, not to anyone of this forum. My daughter Jess had FHC, it did spread to several different nodes.
Jess did pass away in May 2008, in memory of her we set up a research fund here in the UK, within our local University who focus on liver cancer, they have started genetic testing and have also made links to a university in America and they are also working with several here in the UK. They are very interested in all cases of FHC and have set up a worldwide data base, with tumour samples from people who have this disease, this is to find better targeted treatments and hopefully to start clinical trials in the near future. If you want further info please feel free to email me, your oncologist will also be able to contact the researchers, they may offer some advice on the best course of action concerning treatment. I hope i have been some help.
