I had blood clots in my lungs, which were actually breaking off from a large blood clot in my leg. It is the reason they found the cancer. The clots resulted from proteins that my tumors were releasing. They placed a filter in my IVC and put me on blood thinners and I could breath better and stopped coughing up blood, which I took to be a good sign. Clot is gone now (it was about 3 feet long), but will likely be on blood thinners for the forseeable future. Hope you feel better.
