Hi Warren,
Sorry to hear that your not feeling so good. Jess felt quite breathless but did not have to have oxygen, but she constantly heaved for over a week after her drain both times, her doc said it was because losing so much water was a big shock to her body, the last one they drained 16 litres.
It could be the same with yours it must be a big shock to your system having large amounts of water drained, it could take a while for your body to settle down.
See if your docs can do further tests. Hope that your feeling better soon, remember im here in the UK if you need me.
