My heart goes out to you and unfortunately I can give you no definitive answers. My son Ben has been on Nexavar since Oct, 2006. It has to date kept things as they are with one slight exception--his last CT scan revealed slight growth (so slight that it may be the scans) of a lymph node. He is on the most minimal dose (200 mg per day) because the side effects are difficult to say the least. His oncologist believes that this dose is working for him. Other FHC patients on this site have been on 800mg/day and have had extreme difficulties. Our goal is to add Avastin in hopes that the combination will work. No one knows for sure yet whether Nexavar has an affect on FHC--it seems that it may at least slow down the growth. I hope others who have had experience with Nexavar contribute---
I wish I could offer more info but Nexavar's use with FHC patients is still so new--the plain and simple truth is we don't know. I am so glad you found this site. You are in our prayers!!! Susie
