hi aimee,
i still get lots of pain and discomfort after my last surgery, which was last april. i get lots of pain in the liver area- front and back, and also in my stomach area over on the left. i have been told that this is due to the surgeons removing the lymph nodes and having a good poke about to make sure there was nothing else lurking. the pain that is experienced from scar tissue should not be underestimated. i have a tiny little scar from one of my drain sites, but the pain it causes is horrendous sometimes- it seems to have attached itself to my bowel. i am happy that my surgeons have pinpointed where my pain is coming from, and i feel that this is just something i have to live with now. i am going back into hospital on 25th june for a full mot as i have been having a few problems recently with blackouts, dizziness etc. has anyone else suffered these symptoms? my doctors have said that they would rather be safe than sorry, and are happy to do all these tests which will hopefully show nothing sinister. i have never recieved chemo- only surgery, so i do not know what you others have to go through with the side-effects. i feel that i am very lucky in that aspect. i was first diagnosed in December 2000 and have had 2 surgeries since then- but i,m still going strong, pains and all. how recently was your husband operated on? i hope you find your juicer and that his symptoms calm down a bit. you must also be very tired. some people tend to forget about the partner who is living through it all with the patient. hope things pick up soon.

alison
