My son is 10 years old and was DX with this terrible disease in Jan 09. We were very lucky to have found it in time for him to have a complete resection of the tumor. Unfortunately, there was microscopic cancer cells found in 1 of his lymph nodes they removed. Because of this he was given 3 rounds of chemotherapy. He was scheduled to have 6 but his platelets keep dropping so they want to switch him to Nexavar. Has anyone every had a complete resection and taken this medication? All the information we can find is for nonresectable cancer. Our worry of course is a reoccurrence of the cancer.
