There isn't metastic disease as far as I know. They haven't done any follow up scans as of yet but I've been told they wait a certain amount of time before they start doing those. There was cancer in my lymph nodes in my abdomen so the specialist is referring me to an oncologist. My GP told me the oncologist will look at the latest types of chemo and their effectiveness and then decide whether I'll undergo chemo. If not, and the cancer returns, the specialist wants to do more surgery. They seem to think I could still have cancer in my system because it had spread to the nodes. I've been told to wait a week to hear from the hospital and if they don't get back to me my GP will contact them.
