Your input is great. It really helps to look at every aspect of his life. It makes me feel more confident about the direction we are taking.
The tumors we are concerned about are in his lymph nodes. One is by his heart and one is above his liver, close to his esophagus. When my husband was first diagnosed, the doctors were ready to be very aggressive. But since the surgery, radiation, and full dose of Nexavar, he has weakened drastically. He still has a good quality of life, but there are definitely limits. When he had radiation last year, it really took a toll. it took about 10 weeks before he could go back to work.
If they say radiation is an option, we are going to take it. We just want to support his body in fighting the cancer.
